Finland and Somalia have agreed to strengthen cooperation on the issue of climate change.
Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzumi, the Somali Minister of Environment and Climate Change, announced this following her meeting with Pekka Haavisto.
Haavisto is the Finnish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Currently, Al-Makhzumi is on an official visit to Finland.
Her meeting with Haavisto, which took place on Wednesday, saw them discuss forming a strong partnership in climate change.
Further, Finland agreed to support Somalia’s recovery programs and efforts too.
