Finland to Contribute €7.65 Million Towards Education of Somali Children

Finland is to contribute €7.65 million to support the education of children in Somalia.

According to an announcement made on December 7, the Scandinavian nation would be working closely with Somalia’s Ministry of Education on this project.

For decades, many Somali children have had their education interrupted because of several factors.

These include deadly inter-clan clashes, Al-Shabaab attacks, political instability, and dysfunctional government.

The financial contribution and support from Finland would go a long way towards providing children with quality education.
