Mohamed Kafi is the new Director of Radio Muqdisho.
The Minister of Information announced Kafi’s appointment into the new role on December 7.
Kafi takes over from Abdiaziz Afrika, who died last month after Al-Shabaab militants attacked Radio Muqdisho’s offices.
On Tuesday, the information ministry also announced the appointment of Ismail Orange as the Director of Somali National News Agency (SONNA).
