The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, met with Marina Walter, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Deputy Regional Director for Arab States on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Amb. Fiqi expressed gratitude for the critical role that UNDP has played in supporting Somalia’s development and governance initiatives.
He emphasized the importance of further strengthening the cooperation between the UNDP and the Federal Government of Somalia to continue advancing key development projects.
Particularly, Fiqi listed a few areas of possible cooperation between Somalia and UNDP.
These include economic recovery, institution building, and the delivery of essential services to the Somali population.
