Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, held talks with top diplomats from the United Kingdom.
On Wednesday, Fiqi received the UK’s new Special Envoy for the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa, Alison Blackburn, and the British Ambassador to Somalia, Mike Nithavrianakis at his office.
The discussions focused on enhancing the Somalia-UK partnership and addressing regional issues.
The meeting highlighted the importance of continued collaboration on security, economic development, and stability in the Horn of Africa.
They agreed on the need to prioritize strengthening of ties between their two countries.
Specifically, they discussed issues concerning shared concerns such as counterterrorism, humanitarian aid, and regional peace efforts.
