Ahmed Fiqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Coopertion, leads efforts to seek investments for Somalia from China and Arab nations.
Fiqi made this appeal in Beijing where he has joined other ministers at the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum.
The foreign affairs issued the call for investments when he got an opportunity to address his colleagues at the forum.
He hailed the deep historical relations that exist between the Arab nations and China.
He added that Somalia created history when it became the first East African nation to establish diplomatic ties with China.
Fiqi informed Chinese and Arab investors that Somalia is ready to receive their investments.
According to the minister, some of the areas or sectors that require fresh investments include renewable energy, fisheries, agriculture, and animal husbandry.
