Firdhiye Elected President of Somalia’s Northeastern State

Las Anod, Somalia – Abdiqadir Ahmed Aw-Ali, widely known as Firdhiye, has been elected President of the Northeastern State of Somalia, marking the beginning of a new phase in the region’s political journey.

The Federal Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation welcomed the election outcome, congratulating the people of the Northeastern State for demonstrating resilience and commitment to peaceful political transition.
