Mogadishu, Somalia – The Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy, Ahmed Hassan Aden, officially unveiled the Fisheries Information Management System (FIMS) in Mogadishu today.
This new FIMS data-collection initiative marks a major advancement in enhancing fisheries data management, facilitating the production of precise and structured statistics. It will aid evidence-based decisions and encourage research-informed policy formulation in Somalia’s fisheries sector.
