Five Al-Shabaab militants lost their lives in an operation undertaken by the Somali National Army (SNA) in Galgadud on Saturday.
The operation was in Gariley and Ali-Yabaal, which are both in Galgadud region.
Reports from the region indicate that the military were successful in chasing the militants out of the Jir-jir Hirey forest.
Gen. Abdullahi Ali Nood, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, confirmed this in his interview with the press.
