Flood barriers have been erected along the Jubba River in Bardhere district.
The World Bank, which sponsors Somalia Crises Recovery Project (SCRP), erected sustainable flood risk control along the river.
SCRP announced that the new barriers are designed to protect the residents’ livelihoods.
Jubba River is prone to flooding from time to time.
