Flood defense structures have been erected along the banks of Jubba River in Somalia.
The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) erected the structures recently.
Jubba River is in Dolow district, Jubbaland.
With the increased rains in Somalia, many of the nation’s rivers are likely to burst and cause floods.
Consequently, the structures seek to prevent the risk of flooding.
