The ongoing floods in different parts of Somalia have forced over 695,000 people out of their homes.
A report from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) states that the situation keeps getting desperate for Somalis countrywide.
In the report, OCHA mentions that hundreds of thousands of people abandoned their homes.
Instead, they moved into temporary shelters elsewhere.
OCHA commended the humanitarians who continue to contribute their hard-earned finances to distribute shelter and non-food items.
Thus far, contributions from humanitarians have helped 14,400 people in the country.
OCHA hopes that this number will rise to 74,000 in the next few days.
