The presidents of the Federal Member States (FMS) in Somalia are to be known as leaders.
This is according to the proposed amendments in the country’s provisional constitution.
Hitherto, they have been known as Presidents.
Somalia has five FMS or regional states.
These are Galmudug, HirShabelle, Jubbaland, Puntland, and Southwest.
There have been proposals to create a sixth one to be known as SSC Khatuumo.
