Saudi Arabia distributed tons of food baskets in Somalia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) and Al-Musbah Development Association.
The 1,200 food baskets, which weigh 108 tons, are set to benefit more than 7,200 people in Somalia during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The move is part of the plan devised to distribute over 10,761 food baskets in the Horn of Africa nation to feed around 64,566 people in Somalia over the Ramadan period.
Saudi Arabia is ranked first and fifth among Arab nations and rest of the world respectively for providing humanitarian aid.
In cooperation with seven partners, KSRelief has undertaken 50 projects at a cost of roughly $191 million in Somalia.
