A football match was held in Mogadishu to honor a former Mayor who died while in office a few years ago.
The match took place on Monday, August 1.
Organizers held it in honor of Engineer Abdirahman Omar Yarisow, a former Mayor of Mogadishu.
Mayor Yarisow succumbed to injuries sustained during a terrorist attack in his office in 2019.
Senior officials from the federal and regional governments attended the football match held in his honor.
