Foreign diplomats in Somalia have expressed their concern at the growing feud between President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
Several diplomats from the West spoke out on the matter on December 27.
They expressed concern over the rising political turmoil in the East African nation.
Thus far, Somalia has only concluded elections for Senate (Upper House) seats.
It has been holding elections for the House of the People (Lower House) seats over the last one month.
In their letter, the diplomats encouraged Farmaajo and Roble to deescalate the growing tension between them.
They also urged Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) leaders to avoid using force, as that could undermine the country’s stability.
