Former Acting NISA Director Says Al-Shabaab Killed Female Spy Agent

The immediate former Acting Director-General of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) claims that Al-Shabaab killed Ikran Tahil.

Yassin Farey, who had been the Acting Director-General of NISA until last month, made the claims on Tuesday, June 8.

Last year, Somalia was in turmoil following reports that Tahil, a young female NISA agent, had disappeared.

The government then launched investigations into her disappearance.

Government investigations discovered that Al-Shabaab militias not only killed but also subsequently killed Tahil.

However, Al-Shabaab refuted those reports.

Farey has now resurrected the accusations against Al-Shabaab.
