A former reporter with British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in Somalia has been appointed the new spokesperson of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu, a journalist who once worked with BBC Somalia stepped into the office of the Official Government Spokesperson on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble appointed Moalimu the government spokesperson on December 29.
Similarly, a communiqué from Roble’s office indicates that Mohamed Ibrahim Nur takes over as the new Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister.
Nur is a former university lecturer.
