President Ahmed Duale Gelle Haaf, a former leader of Somalia’s Galmudug State, was in Dhusamareb to meet his successor on Monday.
Several senior state officials also attended the meeting with Ahmed Ali Kariye, the President-Elect of Galmudug State.
Members of the outgoing cabinet and the regional assembly were also at the meeting.
Haaf addressed the media outside Dhusamareb to extend his gratitude for the warm reception accorded to his convoy.
While addressing the media, Haaf said, “I arrive in the capital to make compromises for the sake of the wonderful people of Galmudug.”
He also asked all stakeholders to work towards creating a peaceful, prosperous, and united state of Galmudug.
