Mohamed Abdi Ware, the immediate former President of HirShabelle State, has commended President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland for hosting successful national conference.
On January 3, 2021, ex-President Ware delivered his message of gratitude to Deni for hosting Heritage Institute for Policy Studies (HIPS) conference in Garowe, Puntland.
HIPS hosted its annual conference in Somalia for the first time.
President Deni pulled all the stops to ensure that the conference turned out well for all participants, who came from all walks of life.
Current and former political leaders, traditional leaders, academicians, and spiritual leaders attended the conference to discuss issues affecting the people of Somalia.
While thanking Deni, ex-President Ware also recognized Mohamed Mursal, the Speaker of the Lower House, and Abdi Hashi, the Speaker of the Upper House, for their roles at the forum.
Furthermore, he praised Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi M. Gulaid for demonstrating leadership maturity by “stepping into the lions’ den” to face his critics.
He urged the people and leadership of Somalia to continue holding dialogues to solve the problems bedeviling the country, especially on the political front.
