Hassan Ali Khaire, the immediate former Prime Minister of Somalia, met with President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor of Galmudug state on Monday evening.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed several issues.
Top on their agenda was the issue of elections, especially with the country’s leadership having signed an elections agreement last week on Thursday.
Further, Khaire also discussed the role that Galmudug and President Qoorqoor could play in ensuring that the country enjoys credible and peaceful elections.
Additionally, the two leaders talked about activities that Galmudug leadership should engaged in to make the region an all-inclusive one for all Somalis.
The challenges facing the people and administration of Galmudug also featured prominently in the talk between the two leaders.
