Former Somali Air Force Commander Dies in Turkey

General Khalif Isse Mudan, a former Commander of the Somali Air Force, has died in Turkey.

Mudan, who also served as the Minister of Security in the semiautonomous state of Puntland, died on Tuesday, November 24.

The 67-year old presidential candidate is set to be brought back to the country for burial soon.

Several political leaders in the East African nation have started sending messages of condolences to Gen. Mudan’s family and friends over his death.
