A former Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Education has said that it’s time for President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo to leave office.
Abdulkadir Hashi, the ex-education minister, said this on December 30.
He was commenting after the recent upheaval in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) as Farmaajo attempted to suspend Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
In Hashi’s estimates, Farmaajo should leave now to save whatever remains of his legacy.
The former minister also commented on the news that the Council of Cabinet had spoken out strongly against Farmaajo’s failed coup attempt.
“The condemnation by cabinet ministers proves that Farmaajo now lacks the capacity to lead Somalia,” Hashi added.
