In a vibrant ceremony on Thursday, former Somali Prime Minister and presidential hopeful Abdi Farah Shirdon officially unveiled his new political party, the Nagged Party.
During his address, Shirdon commended Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre for his recent visit to Las Anod, calling it a “crucial move for national unity.”
He also voiced strong backing for the Somali National Army (SNA) in the military’s continued operations against armed extremist groups.
The event marks a significant step in Shirdon’s political ambitions as Somalia prepares for presidential and parliamentary elections sometime next year.
