More than 40 Al-Shabaab terrorists lost their lives in ground and aerial attacks launched in Lower Jubba early on Sunday morning.
The attacks were by Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) and their international security partners.
Al-Shabaab leaders were among those who died in the attacks in Welmaro, a town that is roughly 40kms away from Afmadow.
The attacks targeted Al-Shabaab hideouts in the region.
SNA forces and their partners destroyed the hideouts completely while killing the terrorists and arresting many others.
