In Mogadishu, 300 young people and some government officials gathered to attend the launch of the Forum on “The Role of Youth in Direct Elections” in a colorful ceremony that took place on Friday.
This event, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, was attended by ministers, Members of Parliament, directors, and other prominent participants.
The forum aims to engage youth in Somalia’s democratic process, highlighting their essential role in shaping and participating in direct elections, as well as discussing the importance of their active involvement in governance and decision-making.
