A co-founder of Mogadishu University has urged candidates vying in the upcoming presidential polls in Somalia to embrace “fair competition.”
Dr. Abdurahman Baadiyow, who co-founded Mogadishu University with Ali Sheikh Ahmed in September 1997, reminded the candidates that they are in a competition.
He urged them to be “fair” and stop all forms of quarreling.
Furthermore, Dr. Baadiyow encouraged the candidates to be honest with the electorate and discourage them from posting “wrong messages” on social media.
He finished off by urging them to also accept the will of Allah saying that whoever emerges victorious would only do so with God’s blessings.
