Four of the passengers who were aboard a United Nations helicopter that Al-Shabaab militia captured in Somalia this week were Ukrainians.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this on Saturday.
A UN chopper developed mechanical problems in Somalia this week while conducting medical evacuation.
It was then forced to crash land in Hindhere village, which is under Al-Shabaab control.
Al-Shabaab militants immediately took control of the chopper and all its occupants.
