Four soldiers lost their lives on January 23 when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack targeting a former Member of Parliament (MP) ripped the lawmaker’s car in Mogadishu.
Multiple sources indicate that the explosion targeted Muhudin Hassan Afrah, a former MP in the Somali Federal Parliament.
The incident reportedly took place in Shibis, one of the districts in Mogadishu, early on Saturday morning.
According to witnesses, four Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers lost their lives in the deadly blast.
The media has reliably learned that Afrah suffered several injuries when the IED ripped through his vehicle. He is now in hospital receiving medical treatment.
