Four Somali soldiers are to be executed for their role in the skirmishes that occurred at a Mogadishu checkpoint on February 27, 2023.
A military court tried the soldiers and found them guilty of the offences for which they had been charged.
Apart from the four, one soldier was acquitted.
However, eight others were handed prison sentences lasting between three and five years.
The court found them guilty of firing at a vehicle in which a local district official had been traveling. They killed 10 people in the process.
