Four youngsters lost their lives when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near a village in Kismayo.
Reports indicate that the youngsters were delivering water to pastoralists when the incident occurred.
The incident took place in Bulo Haji, a village that lies to the west of Kismayo, which is Jubaland’s administrative capital.
Jubaland is one of the most drought-affected regions in Somalia.
The IED blast that killed the youngsters did so after hitting a water tanker that’s in the area to provide residents with the precious liquid for their domestic use.
