France has waived a debt of $306 million that Somalia owes it.
The French government took this decision on Thursday, November 26, following a meeting held in Mogadishu with representatives from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, Somalia’s Minister of Finance, witnessed the historic event.
