The regional state leaders from Galmudug and HirShabelle arrived in Mogadishu amid rising tension between the two senior-most leaders of the government.
President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor of Galmudug and President Ali Gudlawe Hussein of HirShabelle arrived in Mogadishu on December 28.
They are expected to hold talks with representatives from President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s side.
Similarly, they will also discuss the ongoing situation with Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble’s delegation too.
On Sunday, Farmaajo announced that he had sacked the Prime Minister.
However, the constitution does not accord Farmaajo such powers.
The Prime Minister can only be kicked out of office after the federal parliament votes to send him home.
