Somalia’s regional state of Galmudug has applied for electricity services from Ethiopia.
Muktar Mohamed Ware, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia, revealed this during an interview with the nation’s media.
As reported by Ethiopian News Agency (ENA), Galmudug wants Ethiopia to supply it with enough electricity.
The revelation comes at a time of ongoing diplomatic row between Ethiopia and Somalia.
Sources in Addis Ababa believe that the Ethiopian government under the leadership of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed are prepared to respond to Galmudug’s request positively.
