Authorities from the regional state of Galmudug have given Ahlu Sunna militants a 2-hour ultimatum to leave Guri-El town.
State run media confirmed this development on Sunday, October 24.
The presence of Ahlu Sunna in the region created plenty of friction between the government troops and militants.
Consequently, deadly clashes broke out in the region between the military and militia.
However, local authorities now require Ahlu Sunna to depart from the region immediately.
They also asked the militants to leave town with the bodies of their colleagues who died in the Saturday clashes.
Further, the authorities ordered Sheikh Shakir, the Ahlu Sunna leader, to leave the town by 12pm local time.
