Galmudug Launches Education Program for Rural Children Unable to Attend Normal Classes

The regional state of Galmudug has launched an education program for children from rural areas who are unable to attend normal classes.

Galmudug’s Ministry of Education launched the program on July 17.

Through it, the ministry intends to work closely with other stakeholders to ensure that such children do not miss any class.

The children would continue receiving their education despite the lack of schools or classes near them too.

Several factors have made it impossible for such children to attend classes.

The long distance from their homes to schools is the main factor. Insecurity and the ongoing drought have worsened the situation further.
