The regional state of Galmudug has postponed elections for three House of the People seats to Sunday.
Initially, the polls were scheduled for March 12.
However, Galmudug’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) announced that the elections would now take place on March 13.
The affected seats are HOP#038, HOP#069, and HOP#099.
Galmudug’s SEIT never provided the exact reasons for postponing the polls.
With the deadline of March 15 fast approaching around the country, Galmudug is in a race against time to ensure that it holds polls for the remaining seats.
