The regional state of Galmudug postponed elections for one parliamentary seat.
According to Galmudug’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT), elections for HOP#053 will now not take place on February 12, as earlier scheduled.
Instead, the SEIT indicated that it would announce the new date for elections for that single seat in due course.
Apparently, all procedures necessary for elections to take place are yet to be completed.
Nevertheless, polls for the other House of the People (Lower House) seats would proceed as scheduled tomorrow.
