The leader of the regional state of Galmudug has appointed a new Governor of Galgadud.
President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor announced the appointment of Elmi Ali Abdi as the new Governor of Galmudug on April 19.
Abdi steps into his new office with immediate effect.
Qoorqoor’s office announced the appointment even as he departed the region to travel to Mogadishu for a series of meetings.
