Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, the Minister of State Security in Galmudug, has survived an assassination attempt by members of the Al-Shabaab terror group.
Fiqi made the announcement personally earlier today.
Fiqi said, “Al-Shabaab militants planted an explosive device in my car. Undoubtedly, their intention was to kill me. Fortunately, I’m happy to announce that I’m safe and alive.”
Moreover, Fiqi said security authorities have already apprehended the person responsible for planting the bomb.
The state security minister advised the residents of Galmudug state to cooperate with security officers to flash out members of the terror groups who threaten the safety of the public.
