Garowe is ready to host presidential elections for the regional state of Puntland.
The region holds presidential and vice presidency elections on Monday, January 8.
Security has been tightened in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland ahead of the polls.
Sixty-six legislators from the regional parliament will elect the new President and Vice President.
