Kiki Gbeho has assured the Speaker of the Senate (Upper House) in Somalia of the support of the United Nations towards the federal parliament.
Gbeho told Speaker Abdi Hashi Abdullahi when the two met in Mogadishu on September 14.
Gbeho is the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General to Somalia.
She commended Speaker Hashi and the federal parliament for the incredible role they play in advancing state-building priorities.
Further, Gbeho assured Hashi that the UN would continue leading efforts to prevent famine in the East African nation.
