The Green Climate Fund (GCF) has announced a $100 million climate change partnership with Somalia.
GCF announced this investment through Mafalda Duarte, who serves as its Executive Director.
Through the funds, GCF and Somalia would work closely to hasten climate action programs.
Furthermore, the funds would provide the support that Somalia requires for the next one year.
Duarte announced the partnership following meetings with several Somali leaders.
She met with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud as well as Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
