Grade 8 students in Gedo joined their colleagues from other parts of the nation in sitting for their national exams.
They did so despite the challenges brought by the recent El Nino rains and the subsequent floods.
Many of the students were seen small boats made locally to travel to and from their schools for the national examinations.
They did so because the recent heavy rains and floods damaged the bridge in Bardhere town.
