Supporters of Gen. Sheegow Ahmed Ali have been warned against taking part in protests in Mogadishu.
Gen. Sheegow’s supporters have repeatedly taken to the streets to protest his arrest by the Somali security agents slightly over a week ago.
Now, the Somali Police Force (SPF) threatened to take action against anyone who organizes or participates in the protests.
SPF urged those interested in the protests to do so by adhering to the General Security Act.
Gen. Sheegow, a former military officer, was arrested on suspicion of leading a group whose members continuously rob the residents of Mogadishu.
He is still in police custody today.
