The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has ordered the closure of three aesthetic clinics that were in Mogadishu.
FGS closed the clinics on August 31.
The directive regarding their closure comes a couple of days after the recent news on increased demand for lip augmentation services.
Following the recent news of patients undergoing lip implant procedures in Somalia’s capital, the Ministry of Health believes that there is need for more increased evaluation of existing facilities.
It’s not clear whether the closed clinics would reopen soon.
