The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has launched investigations into the terror attacks that rocked Mogadishu and Beledweyne on Wednesday.
A terror attack just outside Halane Camp in Somalia’s capital left several people injured.
Later in the day, Beledweyne would also suffer a similar fate when Al-Shabaab militants launched a terror attack that claimed the lives of 20 people.
A sitting Member of Parliament (MP) was among those killed in Beledweyne.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Interior informed the public that the government had ordered security agencies to investigate the two terror incidents.
Abdullahi M. Nor, the interior minister, called the two attacks “unacceptable.”
He reassured the public that all those responsible for the deadly attacks would be held accountable for their actions.
