Governor Ahmed Egge of Hawd Province in Somaliland has assured local residents of the government’s commitment to initiate several development projects in the region.
Egge said this during a function held at Gumburaha.
Among the projects he mentioned include the construction of a stadium at Baligubadle. He said the government would also drill several boreholes to provide residents with water.
Governor Egge said the government would drill boreholes in different places around the province such as Sayla, Bali Abane, and Baligubadle.
Several top government and local officials attended the event.
Traditional elders as well as local and religious leaders were also present as Governor Egge commented on government-initiated development projects in the region.
Egge and other leaders at the meeting promised to keep a keen eye on the ongoing construction of the Hargeisa-Baligubadle Road.
