Several guards were injured when unknown people hurled a hand grenade into the residence of a federal legislator from Jubbaland.
Jibril Abdirashid Haji’s residence in Mogadishu came under attack on the night of Tuesday, June 14.
Haji is a Member of Parliament (MP) representing Jubbaland in the House of the People (Lower House).
He was elected during the elections that took place in El-Wak, Gedo in April 2022.
His residence that came under the sudden attack is in Hodon District, Mogadishu.
Reports indicate that neither the legislator nor any of his loved ones were injured in the shocking terrorist attack.
However, security officers guarding his home were injured.
Police have launched investigations into the attack.
