HirShabelle’s President Ali Gudlawe met with newly elected legislators from the region in Mogadishu.
President Gudlawe is currently in Mogadishu.
He met with members of the House of the People (Lower House) and Senate (Upper House) on the night of April 24.
During Sunday’s meeting, Gudlawe called upon the lawmakers to vote for Ali Sha’ban.
He was soliciting votes for Sha’ban, who has joined the race for election as the First Deputy Speaker of the Upper House.
